Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, family-centered care to critically ill pediatric patients
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
- Monitor and assess patients' conditions, responding to changes with expertise
- Educate and support families during their child's hospital stay
- Administer medications and treatments according to protocols
- Document accurate patient records and report findings to physicians
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts
- BLS and PALS certifications required
- Minimum 1 year of recent PICU or pediatric critical care experience
- Strong assessment and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
Education
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) accepted with experience
Knowledge & Skills
- Expertise in pediatric critical care nursing
- Proficiency in IV insertion, medication administration, and ventilator management
- Knowledge of pediatric developmental and family-centered care
- Critical thinking and rapid decision-making abilities
- Team collaboration and patient advocacy
