Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM with on-call required, rotating weekdays, weekends, and holidays
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $49 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional surgical nursing care to patients throughout their perioperative journey
- Collaborate with surgeons and surgical teams to ensure safe, efficient procedures
- Monitor patient vital signs and respond promptly to any changes during surgery
- Maintain sterile field and assist with surgical instruments and supplies
- Educate patients and families about pre- and post-operative care instructions
- Document all care activities accurately and maintain detailed patient records
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse license in Illinois
- BLS certification required
- DCI/BVP certification preferred
- Previous surgical nursing experience is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in fast-paced environments
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of surgical procedures and sterile techniques
- Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
- Strong communication and patient education skills
- Proficiency in electronic medical records documentation
- Flexibility to handle on-call rotations and schedule changes
