Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform thorough dental cleanings and prophylaxis to maintain patients' oral health
• Assess patients' oral hygiene and provide personalized education on best practices
• Take and develop dental x-rays as needed
• Document patient care accurately and maintain clinical records
• Collaborate with dentists and team to deliver comprehensive treatment plans

Qualifications

• Current Virginia Dental Hygienist license required
• Graduate of an accredited dental hygiene program
• Strong attention to detail and patient care focus
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Education

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited institution

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in dental hygiene procedures including scaling, root planing, and fluoride application
• Knowledge of dental radiography and safety protocols
• Familiarity with electronic health records and dental software
