Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist orthodontist during procedures including bracket placement and wire changes
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and treatment rooms
• Take and process dental X-rays and impressions
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and orthodontic care
• Maintain accurate patient records and treatment notes

Qualifications

• Active Dental Assistant certification in Maryland required
• Experience with orthodontic procedures preferred but not required
• Excellent patient care and communication skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of orthodontic techniques and terminology
• Proficiency in dental software and digital imaging
• Strong attention to detail and infection control practices
• Ability to multitask and prioritize patient needs
