Location: Kapaa, Hawaii

Start Date: 07-20-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM with lunch 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM, plus required Saturday shifts

Hours per Week: 32

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive PT evaluations and treatments across inpatient and outpatient settings
Deliver independent, thorough care for all outpatient diagnoses in a rural Kauai environment
Progress mobility for acute to SNF inpatients with expert discharge planning
Provide care in ER, ICU, Med/Surg, OB, and the hospital-based Outpatient PT Clinic
Manage a dynamic daily schedule treating 5 to 15 patients with 30-45 minute appointments and one-hour new evaluations

Qualifications

Active Hawaii Physical Therapist license (required ASAP)
BLS/BCLS certification
Minimum 2 years of Physical Therapy experience
Ability to work independently in a critical access hospital setting

Knowledge & Skills

Strong assessment and treatment skills across acute, ICU, SNF, and outpatient populations
Expertise in mobility progression and discharge planning
Comfort working in multiple hospital departments including ER and OB
Flexibility to adapt to varying caseloads and occasional schedule changes
