Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide clinical nutrition support and expert guidance to patients and hospital staff
- Perform comprehensive nutrition assessments and reassessments across assigned units
- Evaluate and recommend nutrition interventions with thoughtful follow-up for continuity of care
- Counsel patients and families on nutrition principles while adapting plans to individual lifestyles
- Document nutrition care using the Nutrition Care Process and standardized language
- Collaborate with physicians and support staff to communicate nutrition care plans
- Assist with maintaining diet manuals, policies, and quality improvement initiatives
- Deliver Medical Nutrition Therapy and Diabetes Self-Management training for individuals and groups
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Food & Nutrition or Dietetics required
- Completed dietetic internship or approved master's program with qualifying experience
- At least 1 year of inpatient clinical experience
- Oregon Food Handler, Food Manager, or ServSafe Certification required
- Oregon state licensure eligibility
