Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist orthodontists during patient exams and procedures
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and treatment rooms
• Take dental X-rays and intraoral scans
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
• Maintain accurate patient records and treatment notes
• Support a welcoming and positive office environment

Qualifications

• Certified or Registered Dental Assistant (CDA/RDA) required
• X-ray certification (Maryland state approved)
• Experience in orthodontic or dental setting preferred
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in dental software and digital charting
• Knowledge of orthodontic procedures and instruments
• Excellent patient interaction and chairside manner
• Attention to detail and infection control protocols
• Team player with a positive attitude
