Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural and discharge planning needs
• Formulate individualized plans of care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team
• Implement nursing interventions through direct patient care, coordination, and delegation
• Evaluate patient progress toward goals and revise care plans as needed
• Document assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation in the patient record
• Provide care based on the best evidence available and participate in quality improvement initiatives
• Mentor and precept new staff when appropriate

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or Diploma in Nursing, or higher
• Current, valid RN license in state of practice or compact RN licensure
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• PALS certification required within 90 days of start date if assigned ASC services pediatrics
• Minimum one-year licensed RN experience in OR
• Strong skills in ENT (Adults and Peds), Spine, Podiatry, Ortho hand
• Experience with Endo/Colorectal highly desirable

Education

• Associate's Degree or Diploma in Nursing, or higher

Knowledge & Skills

• Specialized knowledge in operating room nursing procedures
• Strong assessment and critical thinking abilities
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
• Proficiency in documentation and electronic medical records
• Physical agility to respond quickly to patient care needs
