Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to residents at Red Rocks Care Center, guided by best practices and compassion
• Perform thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Document care clearly and timely in the electronic medical record to support continuity
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care and discharge planning
• Support residents and families with education, emotional support, and resource referrals
• Monitor changes in condition and escalate concerns to providers promptly

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in New Mexico or RN compact licensure
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from an accredited provider
• Clinical experience in nursing (long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar experience is a plus)
• Ability to work the specified weekend day shifts (Sun, Fri, Sat) and be local to Gallup
• Strong communication skills and a patient-centered approach

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN preferred)

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid patient assessment and clinical decision-making skills
• Medication administration and documentation accuracy
• Basic wound care and IV/line familiarity
• Comfort using electronic medical records and documenting care
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a busy care center and collaborate with a team
