Shift Type: Flexible 8-hour shifts, days/evenings/nights available (per diem schedule)

Candidate Pay Rate: $48 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality emergency nursing care to patients of all ages
Assess, triage, and prioritize patients in a fast-paced ED setting
Administer medications, perform procedures, and monitor patient responses
Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and the healthcare team to ensure optimal outcomes
Educate patients and families on treatment plans and discharge instructions
Maintain a calm, organized approach during critical situations

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Kentucky or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required (PALS preferred)
Minimum 1 year of ER or critical care experience preferred
Strong critical thinking and multitasking skills
Ability to thrive in a dynamic, team-oriented environment

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in emergency assessment and triage
Proficiency in IV start, wound care, and emergency procedures
Knowledge of EMR systems and documentation standards
Excellent communication and patient advocacy skills
Ability to remain composed under pressure
