Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, safe dialysis care to patients in accordance with facility protocols
• Assess and monitor patient status before, during and after dialysis treatments
• Set up, operate and troubleshoot dialysis equipment to ensure effective therapy
• Document patient care and treatment accurately and timely in the chart
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient-centered care
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, access care and self-management
• Adhere to infection control, safety protocols and facility policies to protect patients and staff

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (TX licensure or compact RN recommended)
• Minimum 1 year of dialysis nursing experience (explicit requirement)
• Experience with hemodialysis treatment and vascular access care
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred
• Ability to pass required background checks, health screenings and facility onboarding

Education

• Diploma/Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or BSN — active RN licensure required

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical assessment and patient-monitoring skills specific to dialysis
• Knowledge of hemodialysis equipment, machine setup and troubleshooting
• Familiarity with vascular access care and infection prevention practices
• Clear and timely clinical documentation and communication skills
• Comfort working in a fast-paced dialysis unit and collaborating with team members
