Roles & Responsibilities

• Maintain and optimize clinical applications in coordination with Clinical Application Coordinators and IT.
• Manage user accounts and permissions within clinical systems to keep workflows smooth and secure.
• Design, deliver, and update training using classroom, one-on-one, remote shadowing, web conferencing and live video.
• Create and refine training materials that help clinicians adopt best practices and new features.
• Triage user issues and route to the appropriate SME (Help Desk, PC Techs, Network, Coding, Medical Directors).
• Update clinical content such as labs, radiology tests, medications, immunizations, and coding tables.
• Assess and enhance medical decision support systems to align with current standards of care.
• Collaborate with IT, vendors, and clinical teams to evaluate and streamline clinical processes across clinics.

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Alaska or another U.S. state required (Direct hire must have applied for Alaska license before start; agency staff must hold an active Alaska license).
• Minimum 5 years of work experience in a medical setting (clinical experience preferred).
• Minimum 2 years experience with clinical information systems.
• Minimum 1 year experience with computer technology tasks (programming, installation, report generation, or hardware).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• BSN preferred; advanced degree(s) may substitute for required experience on a year-by-year basis.
• Clinical informatics training, teaching experience, and inpatient clinical experience are preferred.
• Familiarity with HL7 messaging and accreditation processes is a plus.

• High school diploma or equivalent required

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of scheduling, radiology, laboratory, and document scanning systems
• Understanding of medical standards of care in inpatient and outpatient settings
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication across diverse audiences
• Ability to problem-solve, prioritize work, and exercise sound judgment under pressure
• Comfort working independently and collaboratively across multiple sites
• Experience with clinical content management and medical decision support
• Ability to research, analyze, and recommend process improvements
