Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiographic procedures according to department protocols and regulatory standards
• Operate PACS and ensure timely processing and transmission of images
• Assist with fluoroscopic procedures in compliance with safety regulations
• Participate actively in quality improvement and quality control activities
• Provide compassionate patient care including venipuncture when required
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow State, Federal, and HFAP/TJC/CMS regulations
• Complete required onboarding competencies, skills checklists, and specialty exams

Qualifications

• Current CRT issued by CDPH (required)
• ARRT (Radiography) certification (required)
• BLS (AHA) / BCLS current
• Fluoroscopy permit (CDPH) must be obtained within 6 months of hire
• Venipuncture certificate must be obtained within 3 months of hire
• DCI/BVP certification preferred or required per facility
• At least 1 year of radiology technologist experience preferred
• Proficient computer skills and experience with PACS
• Completion of Prime Core Competencies, Skills Checklist, and Specialty Exam during onboarding
• Compliance with facility health requirements (drug screen, immunizations, fit test, TB screening)

Education

• Graduate of a program accredited by JRCERT or ABHES

Knowledge & Skills

• Diagnostic radiography and image acquisition
• PACS operation and image transmission
• Fluoroscopy principles and radiation safety
• Venipuncture techniques
• Regulatory compliance: State/Federal/TJC/CMS/HFAP
• Image processing and quality control
• Quality Improvement (PI/QC) practices
• Strong computer literacy for electronic charting and imaging systems
