Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform CT and general radiographic procedures to produce high-quality diagnostic images
• Operate portable radiography equipment in the ER and surgery suite with confidence
• Provide patient-centered care: explain procedures, offer reassurance, and maintain dignity
• Maintain accurate image documentation and patient records for every procedure
• Support patient care needs including communication across language barriers
• Participate in a rotating on-call schedule to support after-hours and weekend imaging needs
• Work independently while collaborating professionally with nurses, physicians, and the imaging team

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Technology, radiology, or a related field (minimum 2-year Rad Tech program required)
• Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) — required
• State of Kansas radiologic technologist license required; candidates may start with Kansas license pending (proof of application required if offered)
• Minimum: 1 year radiologic/CT experience preferred, but new grads will be considered
• COVID vaccine or approved medical/religious exemption required (documentation required)
• Ability to work independently, handle a variety of imaging procedures, and participate in on-call rotations

Education

• Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology (minimum) or Bachelor’s in Radiology or related field
• Graduation from an accredited 2-year Rad Tech program or equivalent

Knowledge & Skills

• CT imaging proficiency and comfort operating CT scanners
• Solid skills in radiographic procedures and portable radiography in ER/surgical settings
• Strong patient care and communication skills — calm, clear, and compassionate
• Ability to produce accurate image documentation and maintain patient confidentiality
• Comfortable working in a small critical access hospital environment and adapting to varied tasks
• Familiarity with safety protocols, radiation protection, and regulatory compliance
