Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver precise radiation therapy treatments using Varian TrueBeam and other treatment units to ensure excellent patient outcomes
• Perform CT simulation and CBCT/kV/mV imaging to support accurate treatment planning and setup
• Administer IMRT and SRS treatments following department protocols and safety standards
• Document all treatments and patient interactions accurately in Epic to maintain clear patient records
• Adhere to radiation safety practices and quality assurance procedures to protect patients and staff
• Collaborate with dosimetry, physics, and radiation oncology teams to coordinate patient care
• Assist with pretreatment checks, beam modifying/positioning tasks, and specialty procedures like fiducial/seeds placement support

Qualifications

• Active Radiation Therapist license in-hand (required)
• Minimum 1 year of Radiation Therapy experience
• Experience with Epic charting (required)
• Hands-on experience with Varian ARIA, TrueBeam, and Varian 21 ex/ix preferred
• Familiarity with IMRT, SRS, CBCT/kV/mV imaging, and CT simulation
• Comfort working in an adult outpatient, short-term acute care setting

Knowledge & Skills

• Radiation therapy treatment delivery and radiation safety best practices
• CT simulation and simulation of treatment sites
• CBCT/kV/mV imaging and image-guided radiation therapy workflows
• IMRT and stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) techniques
• Record & verify systems such as Varian ARIA / Varis-Vision
• Treatment units including TrueBeam, Varian 21 ex/ix and GE platforms
• Pretreatment verification, beam modifying/positioning, and billing awareness for treatment types/devices
