Roles & Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and develop individualized treatment plans to restore mobility and function
• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions including manual therapy and therapeutic exercise
• Document clinical assessments, progress notes, and discharge plans accurately and timely
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and multidisciplinary team members to coordinate care
• Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and strategies for safe, independent living
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and help maintain a patient-centered care environment

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted Physical Therapist license for Massachusetts required
• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program; DPT preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or obtained upon hire
• Clinical experience in inpatient or post-acute settings preferred
• Strong documentation skills and familiarity with electronic medical records
• Excellent communication skills and a team-first attitude

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program (DPT preferred)

Knowledge & Skills

• Thorough knowledge of therapeutic exercise, mobility training, and manual techniques
• Proficiency in patient assessment, goal setting, and outcome measurement
• Ability to design safe, progressive home exercise programs
• Skilled in gait training, transfers, and assistive device recommendations
• Comfortable collaborating with interdisciplinary teams and educating caregivers
• Good organizational skills and reliable clinical documentation practices
