Candidate Pay Rate: $68 - $47.6 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Assist in carrying out treatment plans developed by the supervising Physical Therapist to help patients regain mobility
Provide therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance training, and mobility activities tailored to each resident
Monitor patient progress and communicate notable changes to the supervising therapist
Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, mobility techniques, and safety practices to support independence
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of therapy sessions to ensure continuity of care
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support rehabilitation goals and holistic patient recovery

Qualifications

Active California Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license
Associate degree from an accredited PTA program
Previous experience in SNF, rehabilitation, or geriatric care preferred
Strong communication and patient care skills
Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team
Available for full-time work in a Skilled Nursing Facility setting

Education

Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) program

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of therapeutic exercise techniques and mobility training
Strong patient monitoring and documentation skills
Excellent teamwork and communication abilities
Ability to educate patients and caregivers on safe mobility and exercises
Comfort working under the supervision of a Physical Therapist and following care plans
