Location: Salida, Colorado

Start Date: 06-15-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8-hour shifts between 8:00 AM - 7:00 PM in Salida and 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM in Westcliffe

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $42 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Accurately enter and process prescription orders while ensuring all regulatory requirements are met
Dispense medications with precision and care, following pharmacy policies and procedures
Manage inventory by ordering, rotating stock, and removing outdated medications
Handle clerical duties including answering phones, greeting customers, and processing payments
Communicate effectively with pharmacists and patients to resolve prescription questions and insurance issues

Qualifications

PTCB certification required for Colorado
Minimum 3 years of retail or outpatient pharmacy technician experience
Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize prescriptions by urgency
Excellent communication skills and friendly customer service approach

Knowledge & Skills

Prescription order entry and accurate data interpretation
Drug dispensing and pharmacy calculations
Inventory management and regulatory compliance
Insurance verification and prior authorization processes
Clerical and customer service skills in a retail pharmacy setting
