Virtual Monitor Tech
Location: Phoenix, Arizona

Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, no set schedules
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $34 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Monitor cardiac rhythms remotely for up to 60 patients using advanced virtual technology
- Recognize and report dangerous arrhythmias quickly to protect patient safety
- Follow established protocols to notify local RN staff of critical rhythm changes
- Accurately document and communicate findings to improve patient outcomes
- Collaborate with the clinical command center team to maintain excellent care standards
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of recent related work experience demonstrating cardiac monitoring skills
- Graduation from an accredited program including EKG Interpretation
- Must pass Advanced Dysrhythmia exam (lethal rhythms are pass/fail with one attempt)
- Ability to work 2-3 day shifts for orientation on night positions
- Strong candidates may have the 3-month education requirement waived
Knowledge & Skills
- EKG Interpretation and Cardiac Rhythm Recognition
- Remote surveillance of cardio-pulmonary rhythms
- Following established protocols in emergency situations
- Working with GE and Ascom monitor equipment
- Maintaining focus in a centralized virtual monitoring environment
