Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate nursing care that promotes comfort and enhances residents' quality of life
Lead and mentor Resident Assistants with coaching, training, and education on proper nursing techniques
Deliver safe, professional care following facility policies, nursing standards, and state and federal regulations
Follow each resident's individualized plan of care to support their unique needs and goals
Administer medications accurately and on time while maintaining strong assessment skills
Uphold the Choices Philosophy of Care by treating every resident with dignity and respect
Maintain a safe environment by applying universal precautions and following infection control standards

Qualifications

Active Alaska LPN licensure required
Current BLSP (CPR) certification from the American Heart Association required
At least 1 year of experience in long-term care nursing preferred
New graduates welcome with an 8-12 month preceptorship at Heritage Place

Education

Associate's degree in nursing

Knowledge & Skills

Strong clinical assessment and medication administration skills
Ability to lead and support nursing support staff
Commitment to resident dignity, respect, and individualized care
Knowledge of safety protocols and infection control practices
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
