Location: Salida, Colorado

Start Date: 06-29-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Wednesday-Sunday, 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM nights

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $88 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Directly provide compassionate care and monitor patients through labor, delivery, and postpartum phases
Educate and support mothers on breastfeeding techniques and newborn care
Document all assessments, interventions, and education in the electronic medical record
Collaborate with physicians and the healthcare team to ensure safe, effective care
Respond quickly and confidently to emergencies while maintaining a calm environment
Assist with procedures and support staff across the Family Birthing Center as needed

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse license in the State of Colorado
Minimum two years of Labor and Delivery experience
Current BLS and NRP certifications required
ACLS and PALS certifications preferred
Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program

Knowledge & Skills

Strong patient assessment and critical thinking skills
Ability to educate patients and families with empathy
Comfortable working in a fast-paced birthing environment
Skilled in neonatal resuscitation and emergency response
Proficient with electronic documentation systems
