Shift Type: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, 3 days per week

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $56 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Collaborate with the healthcare team using evidence-based practice to deliver safe, optimal patient outcomes
Direct support staff in providing compassionate, high-quality care
Perform comprehensive assessments across neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations
Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary teams and families to promote continuity of care
Apply critical thinking skills to make sound nursing judgments with minimal supervision

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited RN program
Current Iowa RN License in good standing with the Board of Nursing
AHA Heart Code BLS certification (new hires must obtain within three months)
Current ACLS certification
Acute care nursing experience preferred
Ability to read and communicate effectively in English

Education

Graduate of an accredited RN program; BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Evidence-based practice and patient assessment
Interdisciplinary communication and teamwork
Critical thinking and sound nursing judgment
Knowledge of nursing practices in acute care settings
Basic computer knowledge and technical skills
Empathetic listening, tact, and kindness toward patients and families
