Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM and 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM, every other weekend and holiday

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $81 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to laboring mothers and newborns in a 15-bed LDRP unit
Monitor and interpret fetal strips to ensure the safety of both mom and baby
Titrate critical drips including Pitocin, insulin, and magnesium with precision
Float to Med-Surg and ER as needed to support the entire hospital team
Collaborate with CNAs and surgical techs to deliver seamless patient care
Follow AWHONN guidelines to maintain safe nurse-to-patient ratios
Adapt quickly to changing situations while maintaining excellent critical thinking skills

Qualifications

Active RN license in North Dakota or compact license
BLS certification required
ACLS, NRP, and STABLE preferred
Previous travel experience strongly preferred
Ability to read and interpret fetal monitoring strips
Comfortable floating to Med-Surg and ER units as needed

Knowledge & Skills

Fetal monitoring and strip interpretation
Critical thinking and quick decision-making
Drip titration for Pitocin, insulin, and magnesium
Following quality metrics and AWHONN guidelines
Adapting to change and communicating effectively
Working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
