Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM and 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality care to adult patients on a busy 40-bed PCU unit
Manage complex cardiac, vascular, sepsis, stroke, and post-procedure patients with skill and empathy
Titrate critical drips including Heparin, Nitro, Dopamine, Cardizem, Amiodarone, and insulin to support patient recovery
Interpret telemetry strips and respond promptly to changes in patient condition
Collaborate with a dedicated team of nurses, aides, and specialists to deliver excellent patient outcomes
Float to MedSurg or ICU as needed, adapting quickly to support unit needs
Champion patient experience by focusing on communication, responsiveness, and a healing environment

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Competency in managing arterial lines and titratable drips
Strong telemetry interpretation skills
Ability to pass an open-book skills exam with a 90% score during orientation
Valid driver's license for radius verification at submission

Knowledge & Skills

Telemetry monitoring and strip interpretation
Arterial line management
Titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips
High-flow oxygen equipment troubleshooting
Patient assessment and critical thinking
Clear, compassionate communication with diverse patient populations
