Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $57 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality care to patients on a specialized Visual Monitor Unit
Monitor telemetry and respond promptly to cardiac rhythm changes
Collaborate with behavioral health techs and security to ensure patient safety
Administer medications and perform essential nursing skills while maintaining sterile technique
Support patients with both medical and secondary psychiatric needs
Float to ED psych holds or MedSurg floors as needed to support the care team

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Minimum one year of Level 1 trauma experience in a 600+ bed facility
MedSurg/Tele experience strongly preferred
Psychiatric experience is a plus but not required
Must pass dysrhythmia exam prior to start (two attempts allowed)
Ability to complete SIMs Lab skills assessment on day one of orientation

Knowledge & Skills

Strong telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation
Comfort working with patients who have behavioral health needs
Cerner EMR proficiency
Excellent sterile technique for Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes
Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
