Location: Bakersfield, California

Start Date: 05-26-2026

End Date: 08-25-2026

Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM with occasional 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM shifts, one weekend every third weekend with Monday and Friday off

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $59 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide exceptional physical therapy care to 12+ patients daily across medical-surgical, ICU, and ER units
Help patients recover from joint replacements, spinal surgeries, strokes, and general medical conditions
Collaborate with the rehab team to create personalized treatment plans that get patients back on their feet
Document progress and communicate effectively with physicians and nursing staff
Support patients through their most vulnerable moments with compassion and expertise

Qualifications

Active California PT license required
BLS certification
Acute Inpatient PT experience strongly preferred
Comfortable working with diverse patient populations including ortho, neuro, and deconditioned patients

Knowledge & Skills

Strong assessment and treatment planning abilities
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Ability to manage a busy caseload while maintaining quality care
Flexibility to cover multiple hospital departments
