Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $70 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical, mental, and emotional needs
Develop personalized treatment plans to improve functional independence in activities of daily living
Provide direct therapy interventions including therapeutic exercises, adaptive equipment training, and cognitive training
Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient care
Educate patients and families on home safety, adaptive techniques, and equipment
Document patient progress and treatment plans in compliance with facility and regulatory standards
Stay current on best practices and new treatment methodologies in occupational therapy

Qualifications

Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
Valid Occupational Therapy license in California
Experience in a skilled nursing facility or geriatric care setting preferred
Strong knowledge of rehabilitation techniques, equipment, and therapeutic modalities
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
Ability to work effectively within a team and independently
Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care

Education

Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program

Occupational therapy assessment and treatment planning
Therapeutic exercises and adaptive equipment training
Cognitive training and patient education
Documentation and compliance with standards
Interdisciplinary collaboration
Geriatric care and rehabilitation techniques
