Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide medically prescribed occupational therapy interventions to help patients regain independence
• Assess patient functional abilities and create individualized treatment plans
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic techniques and adaptive strategies
• Educate patients and families on home programs, safety, and adaptive equipment
• Document progress, maintain accurate clinical records, and communicate with the interdisciplinary team
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and support staff to coordinate comprehensive care

Qualifications

• Current Occupational Therapist license or eligibility to obtain licensure in Montana
• OTR credential preferred or national certification as applicable
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification or willingness to obtain
• Comfortable with documentation and electronic medical records
• Professional liability insurance (or willingness to obtain) and ability to pass background/drug screening
• Excellent communication skills and a patient-centered approach

Education

• Degree in Occupational Therapy (Master's or OTD preferred) or equivalent accredited program completion

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in patient assessment and individualized treatment planning
• Knowledge of adaptive equipment, splinting, and therapeutic modalities
• Strong documentation and time-management skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively within an interdisciplinary care team
• Comfort working with diverse patient populations across the lifespan
