Roles & Responsibilities

• Lead and coach the Specialty Clinic team to improve patient access, safety, and the overall patient experience
• Optimize clinic workflows, scheduling, and referral coordination to reduce wait times and improve throughput
• Ensure clinical reliability by maintaining up-to-date policies, procedures, and competencies
• Monitor and drive improvement on key metrics (flow, access, quality indicators)
• Oversee staffing: recruit, orient, mentor, and evaluate nursing and clinic personnel
• Maintain Joint Commission readiness and ensure compliance with safety and infection control standards
• Recommend and manage clinic supplies and equipment needs to support high-quality care
• Address employee relations issues and support staff development to build a resilient team

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted RN license in the U.S. (Alaska or ability to obtain Alaska license within 6 months)
• Minimum 5 years of varied RN clinical experience, including at least 1 year in ambulatory care
• At least 2 years of supervisory/managerial experience in healthcare
• Current BLS certification
• Clinical Competency and Manager Competency to be completed within 3 months of hire (and maintained per policy)
• Demonstrated strengths in team leadership, change management, and service excellence

Education

• Associate's degree in Nursing required
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of the nursing process and ambulatory clinical workflows
• Experience with patient safety, infection control, and regulatory readiness
• Strong communication, conflict resolution, and customer service skills
• Clinical skills including assessment, specimen collection, and use of medical equipment
• Ability to analyze metrics and lead quality improvement initiatives
• Effective leadership skills in a healthcare environment and ability to mentor staff
• Physical ability to perform job duties, including lifting/moving up to 50 lbs and extended periods of standing
