Roles & Responsibilities

• Room patients and prepare them for examination with care and professionalism
• Obtain and document vital signs, including pulse oximetry
• Perform 12-lead EKG/ECG recordings accurately and efficiently
• Chart patient encounters and clinical data in Epic to ensure continuity of care
• Record history, medications and allergies to support safe treatment decisions
• Assist clinicians within your scope to keep clinic flow moving smoothly
• Make follow-up phone calls and support patient communication with compassion
• Prepare exam rooms and maintain a clean, organized clinic environment

Qualifications

• MA-C certification required (MA-R is not accepted for this role)
• BLS certification required
• Previous healthcare experience and familiarity with healthcare terminology
• Proven experience using Epic for charting is required
• Reliable transportation required for this local-preferred assignment
• First-time medical assistants welcome; strong candidates will be considered
• Ability to float within your skillset as needed to support facility needs

Education

• MA-C certification (required)
• BLS certification (required)
• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
• CMA, RMA or similar certifications are considered a plus

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in Epic charting and electronic documentation
• Skilled at obtaining vital signs and performing pulse oximetry
• Competent in obtaining 12-lead EKG/ECG tracings
• Comfortable working in adult outpatient clinic and cardiology settings
• Strong patient communication, rooming and follow-up phone call skills
• Familiar with clinic workflows, exam preparation and infection control basics
