Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care during overnight shifts to ensure safety and comfort
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document all care in the medical record
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, reporting changes promptly to the care team
• Assist residents with activities of daily living and promote dignity and independence
• Collaborate with RNs, therapists, and interdisciplinary staff to deliver coordinated care
• Support safety protocols and infection control practices to protect patients and staff
• Communicate clearly with families and the care team to provide updates and build trust

Qualifications

• Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or T-LPN license (required)
• Current basic life support (BLS) certification or ability to obtain per facility policy
• Active, unrestricted license to practice in the assignment state or ability to obtain quickly
• Comfortable working overnight shifts and providing hands-on resident care
• Background check and health screening clearance as required by the facility

Education

• Completion of an accredited Practical Nursing program (LPN diploma/certificate)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical assessment and medication administration skills
• Good documentation practices and electronic charting comfort
• Ability to prioritize, multitask, and respond calmly in urgent situations
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills with residents, families, and staff
• Familiarity with long-term care standards and patient safety protocols
