Location: Brooklyn Park, MD

Shift Type: 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM, days not specified, evening shift

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, person-centered care to geriatric residents
Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility
Monitor and record vital signs and changes in resident condition accurately
Support safe transfers and fall-prevention practices
Follow individualized care plans and communicate observations to nursing staff
Help create a warm, respectful environment that promotes resident dignity
Participate in team huddles and coordinate with interdisciplinary staff
Document care and incidents clearly and in a timely manner

Qualifications

GNA certification (Geriatric Nursing Assistant) required
Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
State-required certifications and clear background check
Comfort working with older adults, including those with dementia or mobility limitations
Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
Reliable attendance and professionalism in a clinical setting

Education

High school diploma or equivalent; GNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

Skilled in activities of daily living (ADLs) assistance
Knowledge of basic vital signs and resident observation
Familiarity with infection control and safety protocols
Ability to document care accurately and communicate with clinical staff
Compassionate bedside manner and patience with geriatric populations
Teamwork, time management, and adaptability in a busy care setting
