Candidate Pay Rate: $16 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, respectful care to geriatric residents, focusing on dignity and comfort
Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, toileting, and mobility support
Monitor and report changes in resident condition to nursing staff in a timely manner
Document care accurately and clearly in resident records
Support mealtime assistance and ensure residents receive dietary needs as directed
Maintain a safe, clean environment by following infection control and safety procedures
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support individualized care plans

Qualifications

Current GNA certification or equivalent required (state-appropriate credential)
Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
Comfortable working with geriatric populations and assisting with ADLs
Strong communication skills and ability to follow care plans
Professional references or prior experience in long-term care preferred

Education

High school diploma or equivalent
Completion of an approved GNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of resident rights and geriatric care principles
Skill in safe patient handling and transfer techniques
Familiarity with basic charting and documentation practices
Infection control practices and adherence to safety protocols
Compassionate interpersonal skills and teamwork mindset
Time management to support multiple residents effectively
