Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate daily care to geriatric residents with dignity and respect
• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and toileting
• Monitor and record vital signs and report any changes to the nursing team
• Support mobility and fall-prevention efforts to keep residents safe
• Document care accurately and communicate resident needs during handoffs
• Build positive relationships with residents and their families through attentive care

Qualifications

• Current GNA certification (required)
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Ability to pass background check and meet facility immunization requirements
• Comfortable working per diem shifts and adaptable to unit needs
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude

Education

• Completion of an accredited Geriatric Nursing Assistant program or equivalent
• High school diploma or GED preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Geriatric care principles and person-centered approaches
• Basic patient care skills: bathing, feeding, toileting, and mobility assistance
• Vital signs collection and basic clinical observation
• Infection control and safe handling procedures
• Clear documentation and effective communication with clinical teams
