Location: Bowie, MD

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem (days vary), 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM NOC

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $19 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
Provide safe and compassionate bedside care during overnight hours
Monitor and report changes in resident condition to nursing staff
Record vital signs and document care accurately and timely
Support mobility and fall-prevention measures to keep residents safe
Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team to follow care plans
Maintain a clean, respectful environment and uphold infection control practices

Qualifications

Current GNA certification (required)
Previous experience in long-term care or geriatric settings preferred
Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
Ability to pass background check and meet facility health requirements
Compassionate attitude, strong communication skills, and teamwork mindset

Education

High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Understanding of geriatric care principles and resident-centered practices
Basic vital signs measurement and documentation
Safe patient handling and transfer techniques
Infection control and proper PPE use
Effective communication with residents, families, and clinical staff
Time management and the ability to prioritize during overnight shifts
