Location: Bowie, Maryland

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem (variable days), 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM Day

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $16 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Assist residents with activities of daily living with patience and respect
Monitor and document vital signs and changes in resident condition
Support safe mobility and transfers, promoting independence when possible
Provide compassionate personal care including bathing, dressing, and grooming
Communicate clearly with nurses and family members about resident needs
Maintain a clean, comfortable, and safe environment for residents
Observe and report any concerns so the care team can respond promptly

Qualifications

GNA certification or equivalent classification required
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
Comfortable working with older adults and supporting their daily needs
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to follow care plans, document accurately, and take direction

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
GNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

Practical knowledge of geriatric care and common senior health needs
Skill in assisting with ADLs and safe resident transfers
Basic vital sign measurement and charting skills
Good observational skills to notice changes in behavior or health
Compassionate bedside manner and cultural sensitivity
Time management to balance tasks during your shift
