Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct care to geriatric residents, supporting daily living activities
• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility while promoting independence
• Monitor resident condition and report changes to nursing staff promptly
• Support mealtime assistance and dietary needs with dignity and patience
• Document care accurately and maintain clear communication with the care team
• Help create a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents

Qualifications

• Valid GNA certification required
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Recent experience working with elderly or long-term care residents is a plus
• Ability to pass background checks and required health screenings
• Compassionate attitude, strong communication skills, and teamwork mindset

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an accredited GNA program

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic geriatric care practices and safety protocols
• Comfortable assisting with activities of daily living and mobility support
• Basic charting and documentation skills
• Good observation skills to notice changes in resident condition
• Ability to follow care plans and directions from licensed nursing staff
