Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate dialysis care to adult and geriatric patients with catheters and fistulas
• Monitor and operate Fresenius 2008T dialysis machines
• Manage water room duties and mix bicarb solutions (training provided)
• Administer medications including heparin, Zemplar, and PRN medications
• Maintain a 1:3-4 nurse-to-patient ratio ensuring safe and effective treatment
• Collaborate with charge nurse and team to cover shifts and respond to patient needs
• Ensure strict infection control and patient safety at all times

Qualifications

• Current RN license - we'll help with compact license if needed
• BLS certification required
• At least 1 year of chronic dialysis experience
• Willingness to learn water room and bicarb mixer operations
• Ability to work in a fast-paced outpatient setting
• Team player who can pick up shifts when needed to support the unit

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in Fresenius 2008T dialysis equipment
• Experience with Clarity EMR
• Knowledge of common dialysis medications and infection control protocols
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to maintain composure in emergency situations
