Roles & Responsibilities

• Operate CT equipment and perform CT exams and general diagnostic radiographic procedures at a technical level that does not require direct supervision
• Prepare patients and perform intravenous contrast injections and administer contrast media safely and accurately
• Set up patient rooms, equipment, supplies, and medications to ensure efficient, high-quality imaging services
• Maintain strict quality control, enforce department policies and ARRT Standards of Ethics, and uphold Enloe Medical Center’s core values
• Collaborate with radiology leadership and the care team to support excellent patient outcomes and a positive patient experience
• Document procedures and maintain accurate records while following radiation safety and infection control practices

Qualifications

• Current full certificate of Radiologic Technology issued by the Department of Health Services, State of California (CRT) — required
• Approved CPR certification — required
• ARRT certification and Radiologic Technologist fluoroscopy permit to be obtained within 6 months of hire — required to comply with permits timeline
• Desired: Two years experience in diagnostic x-ray and at least one year experience in CT
• Desired: Radiographic contrast media and venipuncture certification, ARRT license, and advanced CT certification

Education

• Current full certificate of Radiologic Technology (CRT) issued by the California Department of Health Services
• Approved CPR certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Thorough knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and human structure/function
• Strong patient care and positioning skills to produce diagnostic-quality images
• Understanding of radiographic exposure principles, quality assurance, radiation physics, radiation protection, and radiobiology
• Proven ability to perform venipuncture and IV contrast administration safely
• Excellent communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities
