Roles & Responsibilities

• Support delivery of occupational therapy services under COTA scope in elementary school settings
• Provide direct, hands-on interventions to students to improve participation in classroom routines
• Coordinate care across four school sites and manage travel logistics between buildings
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and interdisciplinary teams to create meaningful interventions
• Document student progress and maintain accurate records in a timely manner
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute professional observations and recommendations
• Organize materials, schedules, and paperwork to ensure smooth caseload management
• Adapt interventions to meet diverse student needs and classroom environments

Qualifications

• Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credential or eligible
• Previous experience in elementary/school-based occupational therapy
• Comfortable supporting multiple school sites and coordinating with school teams
• Strong organizational skills and time-management for a multi-site caseload
• Current background check and ability to meet district compliance requirements (per employer)
• Reliable transportation to travel between assigned schools

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of school-based OT approaches and classroom accommodations
• Skill in planning and delivering age-appropriate, functional interventions
• Excellent communication and collaboration with educators and families
• Caseload management and prioritization across multiple sites
• Basic documentation and progress-tracking skills
