Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate basic care and assistance with activities of daily living
• Assist patients with bathing, dressing, toileting, and grooming needs
• Take and record vital signs and report changes to the nursing team
• Support safe patient transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics
• Document care accurately and promptly in patient records
• Maintain infection control and safety standards at all times
• Collaborate with nurses and other care team members to ensure excellent patient outcomes
• Offer emotional support and respectful, patient-centered interaction

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential (required)
• BLS/CPR certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Previous experience in long-term care, acute care, or similar settings is a plus
• Ability to pass background check, TB screening, and required health checks
• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
• Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working independently on per diem assignments

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent; CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Understanding of basic patient care principles and vital signs monitoring
• Familiarity with infection prevention and safety protocols
• Basic charting and documentation skills
• Comfortable assisting with mobility and transfers
• Ability to prioritize tasks and remain calm in fast-paced environments
• Compassionate bedside manner and strong interpersonal skills
