Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hands-on care to residents and patients, including assistance with activities of daily living
• Monitor and accurately record vital signs and report changes to the nursing team
• Assist with safe transfers and mobility support while promoting patient dignity
• Maintain clean, safe patient environments and follow infection control procedures
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to support individualized care plans
• Communicate clearly with patients, families, and staff to ensure excellent patient experience

Qualifications

• Current and active CNA certification in California
• Valid BLS/CPR certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Up-to-date immunizations and TB screening per facility policy
• Reliable transportation and ability to arrive for scheduled per diem shifts
• Strong interpersonal skills and a patient-centered approach

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completed state-approved CNA training program and certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Comfortable assisting with ADLs: bathing, dressing, feeding, toileting
• Skilled at taking and documenting vital signs and basic clinical observations
• Knowledge of infection control best practices
• Ability to follow care plans and report changes promptly
• Team player with good communication and time-management skills
