Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to patients, supporting daily living activities
- Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility and meals with dignity and respect
- Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes to the nursing team
- Document patient care and observations clearly and promptly in the chart
- Support a safe, clean environment by following infection control and safety procedures
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary staff to promote quality care
Qualifications
- Valid state CNA certification (required)
- Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Comfortable with direct patient care and basic clinical tasks
- Ability to pass background checks and required health screenings
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well on a team
- Previous experience in a long-term care or clinical setting is a plus
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- State-approved CNA training program completion and certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Fundamentals of patient care and activities of daily living
- Vital signs measurement and basic clinical observations
- Infection control standards and safe patient handling
- Clear documentation and basic electronic charting skills
- Time management, teamwork, and patient-centered communication
