Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and grooming
• Provide compassionate support during mealtimes and with mobility needs
• Take and record basic vital signs and report any changes to the nursing team
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation to support continuity of care
• Ensure patient rooms and common areas are safe, clean, and comfortable
• Follow infection control and safety protocols to protect patients and colleagues
• Support safe transfers and use proper body mechanics to prevent injury
• Communicate clearly and kindly with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential in the state of California (required)
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Comfortable assisting with patient care tasks and working as part of a team
• Reliable, professional attitude with good communication and time management
• Previous experience in long-term care, acute care, or similar settings is a plus

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of a state-approved CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient-centered care and dignity-preserving techniques
• Basic patient assessment and vital sign monitoring
• Safe transfer and lifting techniques
• Infection prevention and control practices
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Basic charting and documentation habits
