Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care to residents and patients
• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, feeding, toileting)
• Monitor and record vital signs and report changes promptly to the nursing team
• Support safe patient transfers and mobility with proper body mechanics
• Maintain a clean, comfortable, and safe environment for each patient
• Communicate clearly and respectfully with patients, families, and staff
• Document care accurately and follow facility policies and procedures

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (Certified Nursing Assistant) — required
• Active/state-appropriate nursing assistant license or certification
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or required depending on facility
• Previous experience as a CNA or in direct patient care is a plus
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, transferring, and standing for shifts
• Strong communication skills and a team-centered attitude

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of an approved CNA training program and state certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Understanding of patient care fundamentals and infection control practices
• Comfortable assisting with ADLs and mobility support
• Ability to take and record vital signs accurately
• Basic charting and documentation skills
• Good time management and ability to prioritize patient needs
• Compassionate bedside manner and strong interpersonal skills
