Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care and assistance with activities of daily living
• Assist with bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding, and mobility while preserving patient dignity
• Monitor and record vital signs and promptly report changes to the nursing team
• Document patient observations clearly and accurately in the chart
• Support safe transfers and use proper body mechanics to protect patients and yourself
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues to coordinate excellent care
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for patients

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (required)
• Valid state authorization to practice in California (if applicable)
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Demonstrated ability to provide compassionate patient care and follow care plans
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced setting
• Reliable, professional, and able to pass required background and health screenings

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required
• BLS/CPR certification preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of patient care basics and infection control practices
• Skill in taking and documenting vital signs and observing patient condition
• Familiarity with safe patient handling and transfer techniques
• Comfortable with electronic charting or willingness to learn facility systems
• Strong interpersonal skills and an empathetic approach to patient interactions
• Ability to prioritize tasks and collaborate with the nursing team
