Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain a sterile field and surgical instruments for orthopedic procedures
• Anticipate surgeon needs and deliver instruments and supplies promptly during cases
• Perform instrument counts, assist with turnovers, and ensure accurate OR documentation
• Follow strict aseptic technique and infection control practices to protect patients
• Collaborate with nurses, surgeons, and anesthesia to ensure smooth, safe operations
• Participate in the on-call rotation and respond to call-backs within the required timeframe

Qualifications

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification required
• Proven orthopedic operating room experience is required
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced OR environment and participating in call rotation
• Ability to work full-time (36 hours/week) as four 9-hour day shifts between 6:45 AM and 4:15 PM
• Must be able to return to the facility within 45 minutes when called

• Strong knowledge of orthopedic instruments, implants, and procedure workflows
• Expertise in sterile technique and operating room protocols
• Efficient surgical setup and turnovers to maintain OR productivity
• Clear communication and teamwork skills in high-stakes situations
• Attention to detail for counts, documentation, and patient safety
