Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing and mobility
• Safely transfer and reposition residents using proper body mechanics
• Monitor and record vital signs, intake/output and any changes in condition
• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care and emotional support to residents
• Communicate observations and care updates clearly to nurses and the care team
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control protocols
• Document care accurately and timely in the resident record

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (state-required) — active and in good standing
• Minimum relevant experience as a nursing assistant preferred
• Current basic life support (BLS) certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Ability to pass facility background and health screenings
• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude

Education

• High school diploma or GED required
• Completion of an accredited CNA training program and certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on patient care and ADL assistance
• Safe transfer and positioning techniques
• Basic vital signs measurement and reporting
• Familiarity with infection prevention and PPE use
• Accurate documentation and time-management skills
• Empathy, patience and strong interpersonal skills
