Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem (as-needed), 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM Day shift

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $13 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate direct patient care, assisting with activities of daily living
Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes to the nursing team
Assist with safe patient transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics
Maintain clear, timely documentation of care and observations
Support residents during meals, personal hygiene, and toileting needs
Collaborate with nurses and care team to ensure individualized care plans are followed

Qualifications

Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in good standing
Basic CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain)
Ability to pass background checks and required health screenings
Strong communication skills and a compassionate bedside manner
Previous experience in long-term care, assisted living, or similar is a plus
Reliable, punctual, and able to work standing/walking for the shift

Education

High school diploma or equivalent; CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of basic patient care techniques and infection control
Comfortable taking vital signs and documenting observations
Familiarity with ADL assistance and safe transfer methods
Good charting and time-management skills
Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary care team
Attention to detail and commitment to resident dignity and safety
