Location: Farmington, ME

Shift Type: Days to be confirmed, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM (Day shift)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $22 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming)
Take and record vital signs and basic patient observations accurately
Assist with patient mobility and safe transfers, using proper body mechanics
Support nursing staff with routine tasks and timely documentation
Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control practices
Communicate changes in patient condition and collaborate with the care team
Promote dignity and emotional support for patients and their families

Qualifications

Current CNA certification (required) in the state of practice
Completion of an approved CNA training program
Comfortable working on an early day shift schedule
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Previous experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar settings is a plus

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
Completion of state-approved CNA training program and active certification

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of activities of daily living (ADLs) and basic patient care
Familiarity with infection control and safety procedures
Basic charting and documentation skills, attention to detail
Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
Empathy, patience, and strong customer service mindset
